Under MY YOUTH MY PRIDE Programme. Today on 28/10/2022 Two days Fencing Tournament was inaugurated at Mother Teresa Convent Hr. Sec. School Dharmni (Billawar),Distt. Kathua. D.D.C. Member Mandli Smt. Neeru Rajput was the chief guest. Reeta devi B.D.C Mandli,and Sh. Yash paul Sharma Principal of the school was the guest of honour.Madam chief guest Neeru Rajput who herself was a Hockey player and representated state of J&K from kathua distt. Several times, encouraged the participants and spectators to take part in the games in the daily routine and stay away from the drugs and other anti social activities She also stressed on girls to participate in the sports and get them fit to enhance their physical capacity for studies and daily routine because they are the future mothers of India . She also thanked the Sports Council for organising these types of sports and awareness programmes and involving the children who are not in sports and fitness. Shotu Lal fencing coach sports council and Suminder pal P.E.M. Officiated the matches technically. Total 120 players participating in different age groups in boys and girls section. More than 500 spectators of different schools witness the event. The finals of the tournament will play on tomorrow at same venue.
